About Me

As a professional therapist, I provide therapy services in Korean and English. I decided to become a therapist after discovering that it was my calling and joy to help people understand and love their life journey with my strengths such as sensitivity, empathy, insight, and spirituality. Through my clinical experiences in Korea and the U.S., I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, which has enabled me to develop a sensitivity to diversity. Additionally, I served as an adjunct professor at a university, teaching psychology to college students.

Philosophy and Therapeutic Approach

Life inevitably brings times of struggle and uncertainty and in those moments, reaching out for support can open doors to healing, insight, and growth. Psychotherapy provides a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space in which individuals can explore their inner world. My aim as a therapist is to be a “home for the heart” - a place where they feel genuinely seen and heard. In the safety of this therapeutic relationship, I invite clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to better understand themselves and their connections with others. I utilize an integrative approach, drawing from Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. This approach enables me to create a personalized and effective treatment plan for each individual. When spirituality is meaningful to them, I integrate faith - or meaning-centered interventions to foster purpose, connection, and resilience.
